Based in Nashville, Tennessee -- the Titans is a professional football team which was established in the 1960s under the American football league Eastern division where it played until 1969. The team was previously known as the Houston Oilers but it was an bought and moved to Nashville, this action gave way to the institution of the Houston Texans which joined the NFL as an expansion team. In June 6, 2008 -- the Tennessee Titans headed out to the Greer Stadium (home of the Sounds) to join forces with country music stars and celebrities in order to promote and support cancer research, they also participated in the 18th annual City of Hope celebrity softball game.
